I don’t know who needs to hear this, but summer clearly didn’t get the memo that it’s supposed to be over. The calendar says fall… the weather says, “nah, let’s keep grilling and wearing flip-flops.”
Honestly, I’m not mad about it. If the sun wants to stick around and keep our vitamin D levels topped off, I say let’s roll with it. We’ll get to pumpkin spice everything soon enough, but for now, I’m enjoying this bonus round of summer.
So, here’s my suggestion: treat this week like an encore. Squeeze in that one last ice cream run, backyard BBQ, or patio happy hour before reality catches up. Because who knows? Maybe summer is just trying to renegotiate its lease in Lake County.

The Market Report
Even with more homes coming on the market, the numbers are still leaning in favor of sellers. Inventory in Lake County hasn’t caught up with demand, which means well-priced homes are still moving quickly and attracting strong offers.
If you’ve been on the fence about selling this year, there’s still time. Listing before year-end not only lets you take advantage of a market that favors sellers, but it may also come with a bonus: depending on your situation, there could be tax advantages to closing before December 31.
Bottom line? The window is still open to make a smart move in 2025.
